Polar Pumps Ltd was established in 1965 with the mission of delivering high-quality refrigeration and air-conditioning installations and maintenance services for commercial and industrial clients. Over nearly six decades, we have built an in-depth understanding of the industry's evolving needs. In 1988, leveraging this extensive experience, we expanded our operations to include the design, manufacture, and marketing of a comprehensive range of refrigerant handling equipment, suitable for all refrigerant types.

Polar Training

In the same year, we launched Polar Training, a dedicated training division that has since become an approved training and assessment centre accredited by BESA, LCL Awards, and City & Guilds. We offer an expanding portfolio of professional courses across the refrigeration, air conditioning, electrical, and renewable technology sectors.

As proud members of both the British Refrigeration Association and the Institute of Refrigeration, we are committed to upholding the highest standards in industry service and training. Our training and recovery services are trusted by organisations of all sizes across the UK.

Our training centre is conveniently located just south of Doncaster, with easy access to the A1(M), M1, M18, and M62 motorways. Spanning 7,000 square feet, the facility includes modern office spaces, lecture rooms, and fully equipped practical training areas. We are proud of our excellent student pass rates and industry reputation.

Recovery Services

In 2002, we designed and developed our own ammonia recovery pump, enabling the safe and efficient transfer and recovery of ammonia. This service has since become a core part of our business. Our team operates nationwide, supported by a fleet of fully equipped vehicles and ADR-certified drivers, capable of transporting both full and empty drums.

We provide ammonia recovery for systems of all sizes, backed by thorough risk assessments and qualified personnel. In addition, we offer tailored disposal and storage solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients.
